About our bot

This page is for administrators of sites GeoAuditBot has visited.

GeoAuditBot belongs to Torumata (torumata.com), operated by Hatteria labs s.r.o. It audits sites at the request of their owners or administrators. If it visited you, it is because someone who states they manage your site started an audit with us.

The crawler follows robots.txt, sends at most 2 requests per second to a domain, and backs off progressively after errors. It identifies itself with the User-Agent GeoAuditBot/1.0 and a link back to this page.

The exception is a verified domain owner: in their project settings, they may turn on ignoring robots.txt for their own audits. The rate limit, the delay, and the boundary of the requested domain still apply.

We also honor the Crawl-delay directive: if your robots.txt sets one, we crawl as slowly as it asks. The slower value always wins: Crawl-delay can never speed us up beyond two requests per second. The one exception is an implausibly large value, say one request a day: honoring it in full would outlast the audit itself, so we shorten the delay and say so explicitly in the report.

If you do not want the crawler visiting your site, add the rule below to your robots.txt.

Add this to your robots.txt:

User-agent: GeoAuditBot
Disallow: /

If you want your site audited but robots.txt denies our crawler, we will not start the audit; we check availability and robots.txt before charging you anything.

The block can be indirect: a Disallow: / rule for User-agent: * applies to us too.

Add this to robots.txt to allow us:

User-agent: GeoAuditBot
Allow: /
